alright, dig this my friends.....
Here is what i think of illegal immigration
Today, there are essentially only three groups of people residing in the United States, Us citizens, legal immigrants, and illegal immigrants. The citizens of our country were either born on US soil or have all of the requirements to become a foreign born citizen. Legal immigrants are immigrants who are completing required tests to become a citizen, and lastly, illegal immigrants are those who choose to evade government taxing by sneaking across the US border. Unfortunately for them, illegal immigration almost guarantees a life of poverty and a lower class living.
Above all, US citizens have the most rights and privileges in our society. For example, US citizens over the age of 18 are the only members of society that can vote, hold a seat of office, and organize public affairs. Legal immigrants do not have some of the same freedoms as complete citizens, but they still share many rights with the citizens, and are protected from any forms of discrimination. Illegal immigrants however, share almost no rights with their more obedient neighbors. Illegal immigrants cannot apply for a driver’s license, social security, and cannot apply for a job that does not involve hard labor and poor wages. Even now, with government crackdowns on employers that hire illegal aliens, the most back breaking jobs seem obsolete.
Most of the American public would probably agree that illegal immigration is one of the most difficult issues that our government faces. The rise in illegal immigration has caused jails, schools, and hospitals to become overcrowded. In addition to the overcrowding, the US’s crime rate has increased dramatically. Recently, it has been found that certain street gangs consists entirely of illegal immigrants, such as the Boston based street gang “MS13” or “Mara Salvatrucha”. This gang is known for committing violent crimes, including murder, rape, and armed robbery. These are only a few of the burdens brought on by illegal immigration. In all, illegal immigration cost American taxpayers over 24 billion dollars annually on welfare, Medicare, Medicaid, and food stamps.
Another economic problem caused by illegal immigration is unemployment. Even though the jobs that are most commonly taken by illegal aliens require the most labor and have the lowest salaries, some Americans still depend on these jobs to support themselves and their families. In fact, millions of dollars are sent to Mexico and other Central American countries while American citizens all over the country become homeless and unemployed.
Future illegal immigrants do not realize that America is not completely full of jobs for everyone. They see the United States as a place of common economic prosperity and wealth. They envision it as a place where there is room for everyone to survive in harmony and without fault or issue. Clearly, the people south of the border see a false idol in the United States. They do not realize that even though the US is a place of free thinking and passive idealism, it is a place of overpopulation and an unstable economic situation.
In conclusion, illegal immigration is obviously hurting our country financially. At this rate, the United States will become in the midst of an economic depression and the average poverty rate will skyrocket even more than it already has. Illegal immigration is a major problem in the US and need to be stopped. It is not a matter of race, it is a matter of social balance.
